Sticks of Judah and Ephraim

Eze 37:16–17 — Plain interpretation of sticks is given in following verses. It is obviously a prophecy of the reunification of the Southern Kingdom (ruled by the house of David of the tribe of Judah, beginning with Rehoboam) and the Northern Kingdom (ruled initially by Jeroboam, an Ephraimite, see 1Ki 11:26) — The two kingdoms were split: 1Ki 12:16–20 — Other prophecies of them being reunited: Isa 11:11–13; Jer 3:18; 23:5–6; 50:4; Hos 1:11
